I’ve been thinking about supermarkets and big food corporations from the poinbt of view that they’re really bad.
They’re capturing most of the value in the supply chain, while trying to miminize the share that they’re paying to the actual producers.
But understanding better how they’re able to capture this value is a better way to try and create a new system.
So instead of asking: how can we get these players to stop capturing all the value?
We ask: how are they able to capture this value? What things have they done? What assets do they control?
