I’m over half way in my 12 projects in 12 months journey, the ideal time check in.
What has gone well?
The main difference between the past 6 months and the years(!) before is the energy. After being unsure what to do next or how to go about it for so long, it feels good to be actually doing something. Even it’s small, things are moving in the right direction.
Regenerative agriculture and food might seem like a very niche industry. But it’s a big and complex network of all kinds of organizations. By attending a lot of events and meeting lots of amazing people, I’m slowly putting together the puzzle of what’s already there, and what’s not.
This gives me a good overview of the available opportunities.
By working on a specific project, it also helps to frame conversations and pick events that are about that specific topic. it’s still hard to introduce myself, but it’s getting better ๐
What has not gone well?
While the 1 project per month gives some structure, it’s been hard to stick to this.
In the real world, things often take longer than planned. So the most interesting projects, working together with other people and other organizations, take longer as planned.
This isn’t the end of the world, but instead of doing 1 project a month, I’m now doing a bit for 4 projects at once. Which require a bit more time management ๐
The future.
The biggest reason why I started doing a monthly projects was to lower the stakes and pressure. Instead of finding the breakthrough idea, this feel a bit smaller stakes.
The end of the year still feels far away, but I’m already wondering how this will continue!
